Iza — the water, the source

Tanzania's Great Lakes Region spans volcanic highlands and ancient lakeshores, one of the most diverse coffee-growing landscapes on earth. Within a single day's drive, the land moves from the warm, nutrient-rich plateaus of the lake basin to the cold, thin air of the summit ridges. IZA RITUAL sources from both extremes.

Nyanza
Estate

The Lakeside Plateau Selection feet above sea level · 1,200+ meters

Nyanza Estate takes its name from the ancient word for lake, the same root that gives Lake Victoria, Africa's greatest inland sea, its local identity. The lakeside plateaus where these trees grow sit at the northwestern edge of Tanzania, in a landscape shaped over millennia by the steady presence of water.

The elevation here, hovering just above 1,200 meters, creates a growing climate unlike anything else in the country. The air is warm and humid, the soil deeply nourished by volcanic minerals and the organic matter carried by centuries of rainfall from the lake basin. This is not a harsh environment. It is a patient one.

"This is not a coffee that shouts. It is one that settles."

The coffee cherries here do not fight for survival the way they do at altitude. They grow slowly and with purpose, absorbing the steady rhythm of the lake climate. The result is a bean with exceptional density and a natural sweetness that no processing technique can manufacture, it is simply what happens when Arabica has time, space, and the right ground beneath it.

In the cup, Nyanza Estate speaks in the language of the plateau: velvet body, caramel depth, roasted almond warmth, and a long, sweet finish that lingers like the last light over the water. For the connoisseur who values heritage and a grounding experience, Nyanza Estate is the source.

Highland
Reserve

The Summit Ridge Microlot feet above sea level · 1,900+ meters

The Highland Reserve comes from the frontier, the rugged, wind-swept ridges that push above 1,900 meters in Tanzania's highland interior. At this altitude, the Arabica tree is under pressure. The nights are cold. The air is thin. The growing season is long and slow, each cherry taking its time to develop the dense, complex structure that only extreme elevation can produce.

The volcanic soils of Tanzania's highland zone are among the most mineral-rich on the continent, layered, deep, and alive with the nutrients that translate directly into cup character. The fully washed process used for the Highland Reserve is the most demanding and exacting method available: every step controlled, every variable considered, every defect removed.

"A rare selection. A summit in every sense."

In the cup, the Highland Reserve announces itself. Shimmering citrus acidity arrives first, bright, electric, and clean. Then comes the deep cocoa foundation, grounding the brightness in something substantial. The finish is long and sophisticated, with a whisper of wild florals that belong only to this altitude. This is the peak of what Tanzania can produce.
